The annual NT Awards are waiting to be presented. As long as there were people, they told each other a variety of bold stories. The method of storytelling has changed over time. The most breathtaking adventures cannot be found only in books or canvas. Video games are true masters of modern day storytelling because they not only tell the story, but also allow us to travel to other worlds as protagonists and create our own myths. Like books, TV series or movies, a well-told story can make all the difference in video games. “Story” is a vague word that means not only the description of the main plot, but also the way the characters are written and the stories are intertwined with the game world. Games of this genre fascinate us on a story or content level.

You have diligently thrown a variety of games and genres into the pot. You’ve suggested almost 70 different topics – incredible! Stories and characters cannot be different. As the plot of Metroid Dread takes us into a false, dystopian world full of suspense and fear, Life is Strange: True Colors confronts us with the startling truth of being human. No matter how different these stories are, from now on they have one thing in common: the nomination for this year’s NT Awards 2021 for Best Story.
