From New York State: To stop the spread of COVID-19, New York, each of us must do our part. Our newly launched mobile contact tracing app COVID Alert is a way to help you and your community by participating in NY.
COVID Alert NY is a voluntary, anonymous, exposure-notification smartphone app. You will be alerted if you come in contact with people who test positive for COVID-19. Being aware of potential exposure allows you to immediately exercise self-restraint, perform tests and reduce the risk of potential exposure to your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and others.
The more people who download COVID Alert NY, the more effective it will be. Help protect your community while maintaining your privacy. Free mobile apps – available to college students in New York or New Jersey who live, work, or study – 18 or older – are available for download from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. COVID Alert NY is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Bengali, Korean, Russian and Haitian Creole.
Download the free app to your smartphone to receive alerts if you are in contact with people who have tested positive for COVID-19.
