    Ring Fit Adventure

Ring Fit Adventure is proving to be very popular in Nintendo’s home country of Japan, selling more body copies than one of Switzerland’s biggest releases, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

If you’re up to date with our regular Japanese chart updates, you’ll see Ring Fit Adventure drop to third place last week, with a total of 1,668,843 body sales in the region. Famitsu Breathe of the Wild has now released a lifetime total of 1,662,966 (thank you, Viji247).

Of course, there are various factors in the game here. One thing to keep in mind is that the Ring Fit Adventure can only be bought physically thanks to the included Ring-Con and Joy-Con Strap, which means all sales of the game will be included in this data. Breath of the Wild would have sold a large number of digital copies – not included in those figures – meaning its total would still be significantly higher.

However, it is also important to point out that Ring Fit Adventure has consistently faced stock shortages around the world, somewhat thanks to its enormous popularity and epidemic issues. It is easy to imagine that the total sales of the ring fit would have been higher if there had been more stock throughout the year.

In any case, it is interesting to note that Nintendo’s latest example of the fitness gaming genre has had such success. We are confident that sales will not decline at any time.
