Super Mario 3D World and Bowser's Fury in Trial

Super Mario 3D World and Bowser’s Fury in Trial

For a long time, Nintendo has been making headlines by boarding games that once appeared on the failed Wii U – but not always good: titles are generally not edited based on content or technology. At least the latter applies to “Super Mario 3D World”, which was released in 2013 and is now available for Switch. What’s new, however, is the semi-combination of “Bowser’s Fury”, which turns this game into an XL Mario package in two ways.

Classic Mario Hop with camera issues

Half of the set, “Super Mario 3D World”, is a Mario hop in the classic style: in twelve worlds, each with a dozen levels, the game is played with Mario, Luigi, Beach or Todd (or several of them). Supports local and online collaboration) seeks stars and other collections to rescue seven angel princesses from Bowser’s clutches.

With an average of ten minutes of play time, the levels are enjoyable and, above all, very creative: from running on foot and overcoming ghost houses and climbing towers and to the volcanic and ice worlds, the two journeys are not one. Outfits ranging from the familiar raccoon to the new cat outfit offer extra variety and extra options. Nintendo is once again proving how different a game can be with a basically simple style-and-hop mechanism if the level design is right.

Unfortunately, the perspective is problematic: “Super Mario 3D World” is not 2D, but the camera is not always optimized for the 3D operating system. Difficulty in evaluating and failing tabs can lead to frustration due to the constantly skewed perspective. Thanks to the level drop, it quickly disappeared. Besides, “Super Mario 3D World” is the most effective alternative within the classic Mario Empire.

Mario vs. Bowser Im XL-Design

The secret star of the set is “Bowser’s Fury”, which adds about eight to ten hours of play and takes Mario to Velvet Pav Beach. There Bowser became so angry that he is now wreaking havoc like a Godzilla. So it’s important to collect cat signs to appease the King of Cuba along with Bowser Jr.

Atmosphere Game Cube is reminiscent of the classic “Super Mario Sunshine” but plays like a modern open world adventure: one can freely explore a large, coherent world with plenty of hidden secrets, discoveries open up new areas and part of it is a return to familiar places. The second player to support Mario can slip into the role of Bowser Jr. – Co-op mode is basic, but can be fun if you occasionally change controllers.

Highlights of “Bowser’s Fury”: Every few minutes a huge angry Bowser appears and shoots fire around him, which can be used to clear obstacles aside. On the other hand, if Mario has collected enough symbols, he can grow to the size of a monument XL and take his eternal enemy in a fight between the giants. It offers a variety of extras in this game set that already explode with creativity and fun.

The game package for the Nintendo Switch is available from February 12, priced at யூ 52.
