The Internet has made it easier for us to access content online without having to go through the apparently tedious download process that most people are not accustomed to. While many people these days use Google Chrome as the primary web browser on your smartphone, downloads are not available in your smartphone’s internal storage or in the default download folder on the SD card. Before you consider changing Google Chrome’s default location for downloads, you must first know where your previous downloads are, so you can first navigate where you want, delete them, or do whatever you want with those downloads.
Step 1: Open the default file manager app on your Android smartphone or you can also use any third party file manager app like Solid Explorer File Manager and open internal storage.
Step 2: Now, navigate to the directory by name ‘Download’.
Here you can see all the files that you have downloaded so far using the Google Chrome web browser on Android.
Now you can move the files from here to any place or to the desired default download folder for easy access at your convenience.
Changing the default download location for all Chrome downloads
If Google Chrome is the preferred browser on your Android device, you can configure it to store all downloads on your internal storage or on your SD card.
