There are only two weeks left for the release For Cry6 And Ubisoft provided some technical details about the console versions of the game compared to the PC version.

No ray tracing on the console, but fluidity

In an interview with wccftechProgrammer Stephanie Brenham described the technological improvements in For Cry 6 compared to previous chapters.

When asked if the PC and next-gen versions of the game are entitled to upgrades on the Xbox One and PS4 versions, Stephanie Brenham points out that the level of detail is higher, the viewing distance is higher and the sea effects are more realistic. The settings are also very precise.

The PC version of For Cry 6 will benefit from a hybrid ray tracking and FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution) solution. The Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PS5 versions do not support ray tracing to maintain optimal performance on these new consoles, especially to maintain 4K at 60 FPS with a dynamic weather system.

Ray tracing is only one aspect of the system. At the console, our goal is to harness new hardware capabilities, improve 4K target performance, and achieve 60 FPS, for example, ensuring that new gaming features such as our dynamic weather system are supported on all platforms.

Instead of being dazzled by Ray Tracing, Ubisoft teams prefer to keep the game fluid in all situations because they are greedy for resources, which is undoubtedly not bad.
