ThrottleStop offers a variety of options that can be used to bypass CPU throttling and also provide a monitoring panel that shows the current status of each series on your CPU.
Some laptops use clock modulation and amplifier reductions to reduce your computer’s performance and power consumption. This is done deliberately to allow your laptop to run cooler or to run your laptop on an AC adapter that is not strong enough to fully operate your laptop and at the same time recharge its battery.
When using the ThrottleStop, monitor the power consumption on the wall with a Kill-a-Watt meter or similar device to ensure that you do not exceed the power capabilities of your AC adapter. Avoiding these throttling programs using ThrottleStop is at your own risk and may cause permanent damage to your power adapter or both systems, which are not covered by your warranty.
