The updated WhatsApp Privacy Policy states, among other things: “As part of the Facebook Company, WhatsApp receives information from other Facebook companies and shares information with other Facebook companies”. If you want to continue using WhatsApp, you must agree to the new Terms of Use – by February 8th. Until now, WhatsApp users had the right to restrict data transfer.

This has not been taken advantage of by many users, including Elon Musk. Yesterday he wrote a brief “Use Signal” on Twitter. It has been shared more than 20,000 times in half a day and has already received almost 200,000 likes.
