Microsoft releases KP5005394 for Windows 10 version 1809 ›OS Built 17763.2091 Out-band

Microsoft released a new unscheduled update for Windows 10 version 1809 and Windows Server version 1809 this evening. With the update outside of KB5005394, Microsoft has fixed an issue that could affect the functionality of printers, scanners and multifunction devices. This problem occurs on devices that do not comply with a specific specification and use smart card authentication. This problem occurs after installing KB5004244 for Windows 10 version 1809 on July 13, 2021. More information can be found here KB5005408. The update brings Windows 10 to OS Built-in 17763.2091, and can be downloaded via the Windows Server Update Services or Update List. The update includes the following improvements and bug fixes:

Indicates an issue with devices that do not comply with Section 3.2.1 of the RFC 4556 specification. Incompatible printers, scanners and multifunction devices will not work when you use Smart Card Authentication (PIV).
