New update for Windows 11

Update 06/24 : Update is now available for all Windows 11 users To download it, go to your PC Settings> Windows Update and check for new updates.

Microsoft has released the latest version of Windows 11 For those on the launch preview channel. The update named KB5014668 brings a number of minor new features, but also plays a role in the fixes. Let’s get around.

As the 22H2 release of Windows 11 approaches, Microsoft is releasing a new update for Insiders on a more stable channel. Users with the RP (Release Preview) channel built-in can download the built-in 22000.776 (KB5014668) from last night, bringing with it some new features, including the popular “Search Features” aimed at improving the Windows search area. Until 6/24, all Windows 11 users can download this optional update.

To download the update, go to Settings on your computer as usual (Windows + i)> Click the button to check for Windows updates and new updates. Here is the changelog released by the company regarding the improvements of this new version.

• New! We have added IP address auditing for incoming Windows Remote Management (WinRM) connections in Security Event 4262 and WinRM Event 91. Fixed an issue with failing to register the address source IP and machine name for the remote powershell connection.
• New! We have added the FSCTL_LMR_QUERY_INFO code from the Server Message Block (SMB) forwarder to the General File System Control (FSCTL).
• New! We’re able to configure the array of SMB client and SMB server cyber suite through PowerShell.
• New! We have introduced search features:
  Search highlights show you the significant and interesting moments of each day, such as holidays, birthdays and other educational moments around the world and in your area. Click or tap the search icon in your taskbar to see the search highlights.
  For enterprise customers, Search Highlights will show you the latest updates on your company and suggest people, files, and more.

• We’ve fixed an issue where an upgrade to Windows 11 (original version) may fail.
• We fixed an issue where Japanese characters were incorrectly displayed in PowerShell.
• Fixed an issue that affected the Cloud Clipboard service and prevented syncing between machines after a period of inactivity.
• Fixed an issue with Windows Sandbox Splash screen not being hidden after launching Sandbox.

• We’ve fixed the issue of not being able to play consecutive video clips in games using DirectX12 (DX12).
• Fixed an issue that prevented some games from working if we used the XAudio API to enable sound effects.
• We’ve fixed an issue that affects some certification chains for root CAs who are members of the Microsoft Root Certification Program. For these certificates, the status of the certification chain may be “This certificate has been revoked by its certification authority”.
• We’ve fixed the issue of preventing the use of encrypted file system (EFS) files over a distributed support and versioning (WebDAV) connection.
• We fixed an issue that caused a domain controller, Key Distribution Center (KDC) to overwrite Event 21 in the system event log. This occurs when KDC successfully executes the Kerberos Public Key Cryptography for Initial Authentication (PKINIT) authentication request, with a self-signed certificate for key trust displays (Windows Hello for Business and Device Authentication).
• After restarting the devices, we fixed the issue of preventing Bluetooth reconnection with some audio devices.
• Fixed an issue when resetting the password for Active Directory Lightweight Directory Service (LTS) user proxy objects. Password reset failed due to error such as “00000005: SvcErr: DSID-03380C23, issue 5003 (WILL_NOT_PERFORM), data 0”.
• We fixed the issue that caused Microsoft NTLM authentication to fail using external trust. Windows Update Services This issue occurs when the domain controller requesting authentication on or after January 11, 2022 is no longer on the root domain and does not have a global table role. Affected functions may record the following errors:
  • Security database not launched.
  • The domain was in the wrong position to perform the security function.
  • 0xc00000dd (STATUS_INVALID_DOMAIN_STATE).
• When you edit the built-in admin panel, we fixed the issue that caused the Configuration Service Provider (CSP) policy LocalUsersAndGroups to fail. This problem can occur if the local administrator account is not specified in the membership list when you perform the replacement operation.
• Fixed an issue where incorrect XML inputs could cause an error in DeviceEnroller.exe. This prevents CSPs from being delivered to the device until you restart the device or fix XML.
• We fixed an issue that prevented Windows 11 (the original version) from running when you installed the app and did not have a network connection.
• We have updated the Start menu to display the Windows PowerShell when you right-click on the Start Button (Win + X) after uninstalling the Windows Terminal.
• We changed the name of your phone app to Phone Link on the Settings page.
• We fixed an issue where the Microsoft Surface Dial Customization Settings page did not work.
