A few days ago, Google released the Tension chip for smartphones, but has not revealed many details yet. There is strength in machine learning and artificial intelligence. First use: In the coming Google Pixel 6 in the fall. So far we do not know much. Samsung alone is said to have done the most important work for Google. Or are South Koreans more involved than we thought before?
So far we thought Google had developed a smartphone SoC for which they got some help from Samsung. But Samsung is more than just offering an existing processor and Google is modifying or extending it with their own ideas. In fact, it is said that Samsung has not yet made public the Exynos 9855 which will be made available to Google.
Google buys the Samsung chip and renames it
Google modifies the purchased site to suit its own needs and renames the chip “Google Tensor”. However, you can definitely understand because this is not really its own processor. The details are loud now GalaxyClub Came to light because the internal code name “White Chapel” was used by Google, but not previously by Samsung.
So this inner name originally came from Samsung and was adopted by Google. Technically, this chip is said to be close to the Galaxy S21 processor, locally known as the Exynos 9840 and the Exynos 2100 in general. The next, new generation will only be accommodated in Samsung’s own Galaxy S22, which will launch next spring.
Maybe this is a start?
The question that arises for us is, of course, is this only on the first Google processor? Next year Google may have developed its first chip, which will only be made by Samsung, no longer from South Koreans.
This year, Samsung smartphones may benefit even more as Google upgrades its hardware and software to the last detail. At this level until both groups exchange ideas with each other.
