Week-Long Speedrunning Event to Feature Control, Mass Effect 3, Slay the Spire II, and More

Games Done Quick’s women- and femme-focused speedrunning community, Frame Fatales, has unveiled the full schedule for Flame Fatales 2026, a week-long charity gaming event that will raise funds for the Malala Fund.

The event will run from September 13 through September 19 and will be streamed around the clock on Games Done Quick’s official Twitch and YouTube channels. The annual showcase highlights talented speedrunners from around the world while supporting efforts to expand educational opportunities for girls globally.

Flame Fatales Continues Growing Charity Gaming Tradition

Event Showcases Women and Femme Speedrunners

Organized by Frame Fatales, Flame Fatales serves as the summer counterpart to Frost Fatales, the group’s winter charity event. Both events focus on creating a platform for women and femme-identifying members of the speedrunning community while raising money for charitable causes.

Since launching in 2019, Frame Fatales has raised more than $1 million for organizations including the Malala Fund and the National Women’s Law Center.

This year’s event will feature speedruns, races, showcases, randomizers, and cooperative challenges across a wide range of genres and gaming platforms.

Major Games Headline the 2026 Schedule

    Opening and Closing Runs Announced

The event will begin with an Any% speedrun of Control on PC performed by Hooki.

The finale will feature an Any% run of Mass Effect 3 by Sanjan, closing out the week-long marathon.

Other featured titles include both classic and modern games, reflecting the broad appeal of the speedrunning community.

    Notable Runs and Showcases

    Highlights from the schedule include:

    • Resident Evil: Requiem New Game+ (No Intro) by Abbiescorner
    • Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1v1 Lockout Bingo, marking the game’s Flame Fatales debut
    • Chrono Trigger RDI Randomizer by GrayGooGlitch
    • UNBEATABLE Arcade Mode Showcase by LaurieDBunnykins
    • Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot Any% speedrun in virtual reality on Meta Quest 3S
    • Slay the Spire II two-player cooperative run
    • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past No Logic Randomizer
    • Super Mario 64 Rogue Chaos Edition 70-Star Race featuring randomized effects throughout the competition

The lineup combines traditional speedruns with creative community-driven formats that have become increasingly popular among viewers.

    Event Supports Girls’ Education Worldwide

    Proceeds Benefit Malala Fund

Flame Fatales 2026 will once again support the Malala Fund, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to free, safe, and quality education for girls.

Founded by Malala Yousafzai and her supporters, the organization advocates for educational opportunities, policy reforms, and local initiatives in regions where girls face barriers to secondary education.

Funds raised during the event will contribute to those ongoing efforts.

Games Done Quick’s Expanding Charitable Impact

More Than $60 Million Raised Through Speedrunning

Games Done Quick has become one of the most recognizable organizations in gaming-focused fundraising. Over its 15-year history, the organization has partnered with charities including the Prevent Cancer Foundation and Médecins Sans Frontières.

According to the organization, its events have collectively generated more than $60 million for charitable causes through live speedrunning marathons.

    Conclusion

With a schedule featuring major franchises, indie favorites, multiplayer races, and creative challenge runs, Flame Fatales 2026 aims to deliver another week of high-level speedrunning while supporting a global cause. As the event returns this September, organizers hope to continue the community’s track record of combining gaming entertainment with meaningful charitable fundraising.
