One thing that Japan’s Nintendo has in common with many traditional Swiss watchmakers is its current intense focus on nostalgia. There is no better relative between the eastern and western companies I admire now than how Nintendo and many other great Swiss watchmakers create (again) a “retro re-release” waist for consumers. Finally, the floor goes into the world of watches with a product released by a Japanese video game and console maker – if any. Nintendo has unveiled the “Game & Watch” system, which is expected to mark the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Brothers’ ownership. In essence, the Nintendo Game & Watch has been (of course) a portable video game system with a collection of Super Mario Brothers games since 1985, but it doubles as a small desktop with a Super Mario-themed digital clock feature. .

Asked in the mid-1980s, the products of the world’s best video game equipment maker had a red and gold look with black trim. In fact, “Game & Watch” is a historical name that dates back to the 1980s and was Nintendo’s first handheld device. Nintendo video game systems later looked like gadgets used by Ultraman (they still do). The gray color dominated since Nintendo Entertainment System began shipping worldwide in 1985. While Super Mario Bros. was not the most memorable game of that era, it is hard to say that Super Mario Bros. was not. A complete archetype playing the best video game of the 1980s.
The Cam & Watch features a retro-inspired case design that looks similar to Nintendo’s early handheld portable gaming devices. Nintendo’s most popular portable gaming device is the Kamboi (revolutionary because it made it possible to switch games using cartridges on a small computer, as I recall). Although the Nintendo Game & Watch device is very simple by today’s standards, what I like is that it is a safe way to do something and show kids what classic video gaming was like, with other gaming options that do not instantly excite them. The only way to excel at playing Super Mario Bros. is to play it again and again.
I picked up one of these little video game gadgets, not really for playing, but to see what a digital watch is. I think this will create a fun accessory on my desk, and I have to admit that it would be fun to pick up the device and play Super Mario Bros. for a few minutes. Nintendo requires up to eight hours of battery life (while playing the game – more in clock mode, I think), and it uses a USB-C charging cable. Price US 49 USD. Now, if anyone has made a game & watch strap Visit the Nintendo Game & Watch website.
