The dating app Tinder will now show a green dot next to some of the profiles you like and make users think what it means.
You can find the answer in the support area. These users have been active recently, as indicated by the “green dot in Tinder”. “Last Active” on Tinder refers to the last 24 hours.
How to turn off the green dot
If you do not want the green dot next to your profile to appear there, you can disable it. In the attached instructions, we will show you how to turn off the online status display on Tinder. Additional safety tips for online dating can be found in our special “Safe with Tinder, Bumble and Co.”
Alert function on iPhone
A green dot will appear in the upper right corner of your iPhone when you use the Tinder app. This is a feature of iOS 14 that displays a warning message. On the iPhone, the green dot indicates that the app is trying to access your camera.
For example, this is the case if you want to check your Tinder profile or start a video call from Tinder Chat.
Google is bringing such a feature in Android phones with Android 12. In the attached article, you will learn how to find out if the apps on your Android phone are secretly accessing the microphone or camera.
Some Tinder users are more confused than the green dot. Other Tinder icons also confuse users. In the attached article we explain what stars, arrows, lightning and other symbols mean. We can also help you to crack Tinder codes.
