EA and DICE have adjusted the computer requirements for the shooter using the experience of Battlefield 2042 Beta. Changes are manageable.
At the imminent start of Battlefield 2042’s early access phase (well known, BF2042- Preload Already launched) EA and DICE have updated the computer requirements for sniper.
BF2042: These are new requirements
The Previously known requirements Released from late September and for beta of BF2042. As EA writes, “some changes were made to our minimum requirements and recommended requirements for PC” after the open beta. In this way, needs can be “effectively reduced”. But anyone who thinks now that it affects many elements will be disappointed. The differences between open beta and full version requirements are largely seen through the magnifying glass.
In the end, there are only two obvious changes. So look at the minimum requirements for Battlefield 2042
Now there is no Ryzen 5 3600, but only an Ryzen 5 1600. Even then, we thought this information was EA’s joke – our original sound: “AMD requires the most up-to-date six-core and recommends eight-core, which Intel segment has been around since the Stone Age. The Core i5-6600K, quad-core with the recommended Core i7-4790, HT, dates even from May 2014. EA can actually do that, it should not be taken seriously.Above all, EA now follows the minimum requirements of AMD CPU, even if the recommendations are with the original presentation.Minimal hardware (old) | Minimal hardware (new) | |

Otherwise there is only one change: the RX 6600 Non-XT is now recommended instead of the Radeon RX 6600 XT. It is not clear why the requirements can be reduced slightly here. But the RX 6600 is now considered an entry-level card because the card was only introduced in mid-October (RX 6600 im PCGH-Test) Along with the RTX 3060 and RX 6600, Battlefield 2042 is the cheapest and most up-to-date Redracing card from Nvidia and AMD.

Speaking of ray tracing: No ray tracing was announced for Battlefield 2042 at the end of September, which came as a surprise at the time. After all, Pioneer Battlefield 5 is Ray Ray Tracing flagship for Nvidia’s RTX series. In early November Then came the U-turn: Nvidia announced in a blog post that the PF2042 PC would come with exclusive ray tracking – for GPUs that support Microsoft’s DirectX ray tracing features – if Radeon is in doubt. RX 6000. Confirmed This feature is the “only” Raytracing Ambient Occlusion, which is thought to enhance the game’s shadows and brightness. According to Nvidia, Ray-Trusted Ambient Occlusion “adds shade where game elements hide light. Let it be between the soldier and the wall, the tank, the asphalt or the leaves and the floor.”
