Samsung is the first model of the Galaxy Z Flip to launch its Galaxy S. It gives excellent photo results. To do this, the smartphone relies on two 12-megapixel modules (wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle), which were already present in the previous model.
Volume Primary: 12 mégapixels, f / 1,8, eq. 26 mm
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is undeniably better than the previous model, but not close enough to the best cameras at the moment. During the day, it delivers a good result, well detailed – albeit slightly smoother due to software processing. The film reveals a slightly warmer tone than that offered by the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
At night, the rendering is a little more confusing. Software processing interferes very strongly, with the most pronounced digital softening. We notice that there are white borders around some objects in the display, especially at the end of the cover.
Volume Ultra Grand-Angle: 12 megapixels, f / 2,2, eq. 13 mm
The second volume provides the same result as the first or at least the day. The photo is very smooth and the halo covers more space than the Galaxy S21 Ultra. But the expression is right, which makes the clich exploitable. Real improvement over the first Z flip.
In low light, the same observation cannot be established. Night shots with the ultra wide-angle module are rarely flattering and our Galaxy Z Flip 3 is unfortunately no exception to this rule.
Front module, portrait and video mode
Inside, a 10-megapixel volume takes place. The latter does not provide the same result as external modules. The rendering is very saturated and it is good to focus on capturing selfies with two 12 megapixel modules when the smartphone is closed. His Cover-view The 1.9-inch, which acts as a small monitor for framing, fully allows for this.
The portrait method is very solid and does not differ from what we find at the top level of the South Korean company. Without suffocation, clipping is good; Some details of a subject are completely captured on the front and blurred.
In video, the Z Flip 3 can shoot up to 30K or 4K at 60 fps. With the front module, you can enjoy 4K at 30 fps. The core module integrates an OIS (optical stabilizer); The consistency of your video is almost perfect for clearing your hand tingling.
