Apple has released a new help page for MagSafe.
In the support document, the team explains how the magnets used for MagSafe work. Devices can also emit electromagnetic radiation.
Apple did not expect any problems
Apple hopes the magnets on the iPhone 12 will not cause problems on medical devices. Nevertheless, the company warns against keeping the iPhone and other accessories too close to related devices.
Be careful with pacemakers and other devices
This includes pacemakers. Ideally, the distance should be at least 30 cm. If you have any questions, you should contact a doctor. Among other things, Apple writes:
Medical devices such as fitted pacemakers and defibrillators may have sensors that react to magnets and radio units when in close contact. To avoid possible contact with these devices, keep your iPhone and Maxoff jewelry at a safe distance from your device (15 cm or more than 30 cm if you charge wirelessly). Either way, check with your doctor and device manufacturer for specific guidelines.
