NSW Digital Driver License downloads reach two million

Customer Service Minister Victor Dominello said D.T.L. Safe, secure and can be used as proof of age and ID in many places and police roadside checks.

“Two million people (36 percent of all driving license holders) can’t be wrong. Drivers simply love technology, and 95 percent give a thumbs up,” Mr Dominello said.

“Most state borders are reopened, and many people visit places during the festive season, so do yourself a favor and download D.T.L... ”

Customers who log in to more than 562,000 locations will be able to use DTL.

In September, NSW Parliament passed a law expanding the use of the digital driver’s license, giving it the same legal status as the plastic driver’s license card. DDL is now accepted by the police in every Australian state and region.

Mr Dominello encouraged customers to download a DDL live to the NSW Government’s Dine & Discover program.

“A download D.T.L. You need to create a MyServiceNSW account, which requires Dine and Discover. So the sooner you create an account, the sooner you can reap the rewards, ”Mr Dominello said.

The new DTL service is securely hosted in the NSW app, then locks with and can be accessed offline. This provides additional protection and security against identity fraud compared to a plastic driver’s license.

To obtain a DDL, licensees must create one MyServiceNSW Account And download Service NSW mobile application On their smartphone. The digital license will always be chosen.

Licensees are advised to carry a backup of their plastic card.
