    Nintendo’s online services are not available at Christmas

As Video Game Portal Kotaku And Twitter users report that online services on the console are not available or only to a limited extent.

    This means that console owners can simply launch their own games. But downloading new games via eShop, for example, is not possible. Also, players cannot create new accounts that make full use of the console.

    Nintendo writes on its website: “We are currently experiencing difficulties with our network services.” The Japanese console and game maker announced via Twitter that it wants to fix the issues as soon as possible. On a separate page Users can learn about the status of network issues.

    Nintendo was expecting overloaded servers due to the number of consoles sold before Christmas. In a tweet about its Japanese Twitter account, the manufacturer wrote that there may be occasional issues when creating accounts, As reported by Game Magazine IGN.

    Last Christmas Nintendo had similar problems. Due to overload servers, it is not possible to purchase or download games on Eishop on Christmas Day.

    Nintendo has given a legacy to its successful Switch mobile console this year. Instead of the 6.2-inch LCD screen from its predecessor, Nintendo has developed a 7-inch OLED screen on its console.
