New design with Windows 11

Microsoft actually sidelined Paint a few years ago and allowed Paint3D to follow in its footsteps. But the software dinosaur, which has been integrated with Windows operating systems since 1985, had another chance. However, there are no major innovations to paint under Windows 10. This should not change based on the functionality under Windows 11. But at least Microsoft is now adapting the old-fashioned design to the new operating system.

The old icons are disappearing and getting a more modern smooth design, while the color choice now comes with round buttons. The arrangement of the control elements is often the same, although the spacing is slightly larger in favor of touch enhancement and drop-down menus, for example when inserting text, with the aim of making the operation of such devices somewhat easier.

What’s new is the “Command Menu”, which is also used in Paint and replaces the current ribbon menu. A darker format is also submitted, which can be applied automatically or manually via the corresponding computer settings.
