On July 3, Team 17 and Studio announced that the next Roguelike role-playing adventure Crown Trick Q3 2020 will launch on PC and Nintendo Switch. The experiment has now taken place, and on this occasion, a trailer showing the gameplay was shown.
The game is also being developed for the PlayStation 4 console, but the authors have not yet specified an exact launch date. Crown Trick is a 2D animated RPG adventure featuring turn-based combat and interactive skill-based strategy. The player enters a labyrinth that moves simultaneously with him and in it the control of the elements is crucial to defeat enemies and reveal the underworld secrets. Every time you go to the dungeon, you will encounter new difficulties.
Unlike classic open cards, the Crown Trick locks the player in a small room in a dungeon where monster battles take place. The dynamics of the environment depends on the movements of the main character: the enemies will stand until the heroine chooses the most effective method of attack. You can plot a route on the map as long as you need, choose the best route, avoid traps or use elements to your advantage. The strategy must be thought through very carefully.
As you take a deeper look at the dungeon guts, the player sees various elements that can be combined with the heroine’s skills to inflict additional damage on enemies. You can throw fire into oil, set monsters on fire, mix lightning with water and shock enemies and so on. Throughout the mission, you will see elite monsters called family members with special skills. After defeating them, the player gains access to their abilities and expands the set of skills that will be useful when crossing the next levels.
The game has more than 40 active skills, 60 passive abilities, 30 items and 170 relics, thanks to which the number of combinations is huge. The Crown Trick offers over 100 different monsters and over a dozen powerful superiors, over 9 unique weapons and over 120 of their personal variants. More than 60 mysterious works and mysteries are also promised in Dimension of Nightmares.
