In China, 1,500 drones developed a QR code to allow people to download a game

The China Is Theater Recently a strange aerial ballet. Fly 1,500 drones into the night sky of Shanghai, Philippines and create a QR code to allow viewers to download a game on their smartphone.

The event was organized in Shanghai, and more precisely one of the city’s historic boulevards.

For several minutes, the drones hovered over the audience to generate an accurate QR code that could be scanned by the smartphone’s camera.

1,500 drones to generate QR code

The QR code in question refers to a website for downloading the title Princess Link Re: Dive, which has been available in the Middle Kingdom since last year.

Born in Japan, this RPG is not well known in the West. It centers on the story of the protagonist Yuki, who wakes up without the slightest memory in an unknown world, and she sets up the Germet Guild with comrades.

At this popular site, visitors can access title-related content but also a button to download it on their smartphone. The drones then generated various figures modeled on the characters of the game.

Very accurate aerial ballet

Organized by the Philippine site, the event was a huge success with city dwellers. As the DroneDJ site reminds us, this is not the first time the site has used these unique forms to promote its products.

Last year, when Princess Connect Re: Dive was released in China, it installed a QR code on the interface of its offices to promote it to the Chinese people. Again, the countryside made a lot of noise. However, this new function is much more interesting than the previous one.
