In the first six months of the year Google Maps received an incredible number of new functions. So we have another article Enlightened with an overview of itThe application is new now and what will appear in the future. Personally, I look forward to exactly three functions with slightly higher expectations than other inventions. Although I already know that one of Germany’s activities will unfortunately be long overdue.
In which districts is a lot or less happening?
I’m a big fan of the traffic display on Google Maps, which works well live. Among other things, Google uses and evaluates user operating data for this purpose. Google does the same for estimating peak hours of advertising in stores and other local facilities. New Google wants to use these “live forecasts” for city districts in the future.
Google then indicates on the map whether a part of the city is particularly crowded or starting to fill up. According to Google, the finished version should look like this:
The new level informs about the weather
In the past, you may have used separate weather apps frequently, but a connection would also make sense for different services. Of course, it also makes sense to display a weather map in a map application. For this purpose, Google has planned a new weather scale that the user can display at any time. Google already offers weather functions worldwide, so this level should come to German devices as well. Unfortunately there is no date for when the new stage should start.
Air quality without pollen
The third invention is a new stage, which I pointed out early on. It should provide information on pollen count and air quality. However, Google is working with local companies to do this. So it may take longer for all regions around the world to get this status.
