You may have a Nintendo account. You may have a Nintendo Network ID (NNID). If you have started using the Nintendo Switch or need to transfer data from one Nintendo console, you may find that the two accounts are not linked together. There are many reasons why linking your Nintendo account to your NNIT may be beneficial to your gaming experience, such as the ability to link your online store funds across multiple devices, and may be useful if you plan to acquire another console such as the Nintendo Switch OLED. Here’s how to link your NNID with your Nintendo account.

What is the difference between Nintendo Network ID and Nintendo Account?

The short answer is that NNID is used to make purchases on Wii U and 3DS, while Nintendo is used to make purchases on account switches. To expand this a bit further, if you have a Wii U or 3DS, you may have created NNID to use eShop or to access multiplayer features and other system-wide contacts.

When you receive a switch you will want to consolidate the accounts so that the money left in your NNID account can be used to buy some of the best switch games.

Another benefit of linking your accounts is my Nintendo Rewards. You will receive points for completing achievements in games linked to your Nintendo account. You can redeem these points for rewards that can be used on all your Nintendo devices.

How To Link Nintendo Network ID With Nintendo Account

If you have NNIT and want to link it to your Nintendo account, you can do so by visiting the Nintendo website from a web browser.

You will need the username and password and NNID of your Nintendo account, so make sure you have them.

Go towards it Comptes.nintendo.com From a web browser.

Enter Email address and password Related to your Nintendo account.

Once you have linked both your accounts, I can not imagine why you would like to unlink them, but it is an option.

Mark: If you unlink your NNIT account from your Nintendo account, all funds will be transferred to your Nintendo account. If you reconnect your accounts in the future, you can reconnect your funds.
