How to Download Minecraft Pocket Edition: Step-by-Step Guide

Minecraft: Pocket Edition has been around for many years, and players appreciate the version and consider it as viable as the Java Edition. Every bit of the game is fun on mobile devices. This version of Minecraft is specifically designed for handheld devices such as mobile phones and is different from other versions.

It has become one of the more popular ways to experience Minecraft, as it translates well into the handheld gaming experience. While previously players had to invest in handheld consoles, smartphones have now taken over the handheld gaming space.

In an attempt to reduce the confusion, the Devs removed the “Pocket Edition”, and called the game “Minecraft” for mobile devices.

Although the “Pocket Edition” has been removed from the title of the game, the version remains the same as always. The Pocket Edition is essentially the Bedrock Edition, which is optimized for mobile devices and, therefore, shares many similarities with the console version of the game.

Although players have endlessly debated whether Java Edition or Bedrock (PE) is the superior way to experience the game, almost everyone can agree that both versions are equally good in their own way.

There are some things that make the Java edition better, while others make Bedrock (PE) better. The Minecraft Pocket Edition was initially launched exclusively for the Xperia Play on Google Play on August 16, 2011 for US $ 6.99. It was later released on October 7, 2011 for other Android devices and November 17, 2011 for iOS.
