Groupware: Blue Mind 4.5 is now available for video conferencing

With versions 4.4 and 4.5, the French company Blue Mind is updating its open source board software of the same name. Users can now integrate video conferencing with Jitzi and Starleaf at 4.5, and combine them with meetings on the calendar.

There are also innovations in the email area. Shared mailboxes previously displayed under “Public Folders” now appear in the main Outlook framework. In addition, views for shared and unread messages from shared mailboxes are standardized. Software then reads emails read by one user in the eyes of other users. It aims to accommodate users who have used other email systems in the past and are familiar with their environment. However, executives will no longer have any influence on this.

In order to ensure ongoing operations, the company has worked on problem-free maintenance. It runs parallel to the background. Executives have an overview of task-controlled maintenance and can disable it. Additionally, updates do not block the software. An automatic hot renewal system now performs maintenance tasks.

Blue Mind 4.4 administrators have new tools: tracking data can now be displayed on a graphical console and time zones set for a specific domain. There are more tips Changelog. As a free group software, Blue Mind is available under the GNU AFERO Public License v3.
