Until the end of May 2021, Google provided some new features and enhancements to its Chrome browser version 91 – especially for mobile users – and removed 32 security breaks “on the side”. Now the search engine company is updating Chrome for Windows, MacOS and Linux to version 91.0.4472.101 with 14 more security leaks.
Chrome: 14 security holes filled
As usual, outside security inspectors reported numerous security issues. Vulnerability detectors receive higher premiums depending on the severity of the security issue. For example, those who find a post-use gap in the BFCache (CVE-2021-30544) classified as “important” may be awarded US $ 25,000 (approximately ,500 20,500). According to Google, the other seven vulnerabilities carry a “high” risk, and the company classifies the other two as “medium” risk. Particularly sensitive: an exploiter for one of the vulnerabilities is already in circulation. Google lists additional information about the update
Chrome-Release-Blog. However, most Chrome users will not release details of all vulnerabilities until the installed version is installed.
