
Earlier this year, it was reported that Pokemon developer Cam Freak would soon move its headquarters to Kanda-Nishikicho in Tokyo. That move now appears to be complete, with the ever-growing company joining Nintendo – which has recently converted several offices into one large space – in the same building, in Kanda Square.
Profile for Game Freak’s new offices is now shared Office snapshots, Swanky gives us a good look inside the new headquarters. It is a shortcoming to say that it is good. There are more rooms than we can count, each one as immaculate as the last, and each place – whether it’s a room or a hallway – is inspired by Pokemon Red and Blue, the games that started the company’s journey.
The scope for the office design is “Pokemon Red Edition and Pokemon Green Edition”, and the office itself is structured as a game world. Featured cities are named. Color based on the city’s name is used in the theme of the room. For example, Ballet Town’s appearance is white. From this element of white, we imagined a blank canvas and designed the design concept using related structures and color schemes. “
