One week has passed since the announcement of Qualcomm’s new premium SoC Snapdragon 8 General1. During the Snapdragon Tech Summit organized in Hawaii, we were able to participate in the main session with the new chip. It is installed on the following configuration:

  • Acron: FHD + 144 Hz OLED;
  • Storage: 512 GB UFS 3.1;
  • RAM: 8 Go LPDDR5 Samsung.

Undu crossed the million

To check if this chip is really a significant improvement, we have tested the new chip mainly in the definitions we use in our tests. The goal is to compare it to the smartphones we tested in 2021. Note that during these tests, the smartphone is configured in performance mode, which gives us a small advantage over the values we measured in our tests.

First note: That’s it, the Antutu 9 has surpassed the million. By this criterion, Snapdragon 8Gen1 completely outperforms all its competitors.iPhone 13 Pro Max. If it’s not the latter, we can say the end of the game, because Qualcomm’s new SoC works almost twice as well as the best smartphones. Snapdragon 888. But the iPhone 13 Pro is more resistant to the Max and more focused on graphics performance than the Aztec and Car Chase on the offscreen at GFXBench. Unfortunately, we are not able to send our favorite definitions on one phone Snapdragon 888+.

In addition to these results, we were able to test it on Geekbench. At the single center, it gets 1225 and 3767 on the multicore. In comparison, theOppo Find X3 Pro Receives 796 and 3018. On PC Mark 3.0, it shows 17329. In comparison, Samsung Galaxy 21 Ultra Poster 13824.

Our definitions were carried out as part of a press tour organized by Qualcomm.
