In addition to the bigger screens with the new Chromecast, Google TV is also targeting Android devices. New Google TV launched Through the Play Store, But you can still download it now.
Behind the scenes, this new experience is distributed by updating the current app for 2011 and has over 5 billion downloads. Asking customers to download a completely new client is not an effective delivery method.
After updating to version 4.23.23.31, the notification announced that “Play Movies & TV on Android now Google TV”. Taping opens the app on the transition screen, which will “Start Google TV” with the new four-color branding Nifty animation.
The bottom bar has four sections, and “Home” has three top tabs: For You, Movies and Shows. Here you will see various personalized carousels:
- Top options for you
- New TV shows at your service
- New movies at your service
- Because you looked at X
- Trending TV shows
- See again
At the very bottom is “Browse by Style”, which is taken from the previous version. Next is the “Store” tab, which is similar to the Play Store. The “library” is categorized into “movies” and “shows” with various filters. There is a grid and list view, but both are not very dense and show only a few works at once.
“Watchlist” surrounds the app and is taken from what you bookmarked on Google Play and Google Search. Following all the new Google Material theme conferences you can access the settings by tapping your profile avatar with this new app.
The new Google TV for Android is now being released through the Play Store, but you can download and side-download it directly From APK Mirror.
