In an interview with IGN, Sung Kim, the lead producer of Pearl Abyss, reaffirmed it TokwiIt is no longer an MMO, But an open world action adventure. On the other hand it will be Cooperative and PvP multiplayer methods.

Djokovic has created a space as the protagonist of the latest version of Gamescom, especially thanks to the bright and attractive trailer, which shows the potential of the title, which now looks like a blink of an eye on the Pokemon and Yokoi Watch, even with the reference to Kingdom Hearts.

However, the trailer has created a bit of confusion for those who have followed this plan since its release in 2019, where it was presented as an MMO. In this regard, the team revealed on Twitter in August that, despite initial intentions, the developers decided to move the title into an open world action-adventure that collects a creature. Leading producer Sung Kim explained the reason for this decision in an interview with colleagues IGN.

“While working on DokeV we had a long discussion about where to take the game, and we concluded that making it an open world action-adventure allows us to better express our vision of the game. Now our goal is to make sports diversity shine in the wider open world“, Kim said.

However, this drastic change does not preclude the existence of a multiplayer mode. In fact Kim Dokovy explains that it will be a single game experience driven by a main storyline, but will provide “co-op multiplayer elements to play with other players”, Face the bosses as a team. In the same way, there will be a PVP mode in which more details will be revealed in the future.

“Obviously, there will be a PVP component to the game. We are creating these competitive elements with the idea of a friendly competition that promotes sporting ability. We will reveal more about this in the future.“

In fact, with the game around collecting and using Tokabi in battle, Toki, Co-op and competitive multiplayer modes may be the most relevant ideas for the monsters that have invaded the world. What do you think?
