At Summer Game Fest 2021, the newly established Studio Division Games announced that Sony will be working on a new brand with Interactive Entertainment. Dave Anthony heads the studio. Anthony was the sports director Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010), Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (2012) and responsible for the Zombies mode of Call of Duty. However, no specific information about the game was given.
Dave Anthony writes PlayStation. Blog: “We call ourselves Dividers. As Jason describes it, ‘as Dividers we want to cultivate a renaissance style mindset. The departed are interested not only in their own discipline, but also in the corporate culture, the team and this project is unique and special. Young, determined studios are determined to succeed. We know from experience that support is needed, so working with the PlayStation is very important in our first game. (…) “I know what you’re thinking when you read this. What kind of game are we developing? How long have we been working on it? Is it action based, multiplayer? Cooperative? Or all of these – and many more? Although I can confirm when development will take place when the game is released, I will be able to post any specific information about it very soon. We have been drawing what we have learned from creating games over the last few decades, but we want to create something new, whole new and innovative, like you have never seen before. We are not afraid to say that our ambitions are very high: we want to create a great, contented game with a lot of action and a lot of tension, but for now let’s just give it up. We hope it won’t be long before we share more. (…) Today I would like to say: Keep an eye on us – we have hired fantastic talents from all over the world, we have over 100 deviations, we are growing fast and you have an incredible partner behind us. “
