Over the years he has pledged greater diversity in America’s “bachelor” universe. Now he is turning away from social media, targeting racism from fans of the TV series: former “bachelor” candidate Rachel Lindsay deactivated her Instagram account last weekend.

Background to cyberbullying is an interview. In it, “Bachelor” producer Chris Harrison downplayed it when Lindsay asked him about the racist activities of the current bachelor candidate.

Photos of current “bachelor” candidate Rachel Kirkonal in 2018 have previously surfaced, suggesting racist actions. For example, fraternal feasts depicted racist dress and the trivialization of slavery.

In an interview with Lindsay, Harrison initially backed Girkonal. Harrison later apologized and later resigned over the incident. Nevertheless, Lindsay has been the target of racially motivated online bullying – including “undergraduate” fans.

In 2017, Lindsay was nominated for the popular dating show and became the first black bachelor to spin-off “The Bachelorette”. Today, the 35-year-old lawyer manages the podcast for “Undergraduate”.

For the “The Ringer” portal, in an Instagram video on Friday.

The “Bachelor” production team, based on the German design, condemned the online bullying: “We would like to clarify any harassment by Rachel Lindsay after the interview with Chris Harrison. Absolutely unforgivable “Lindsay received an unimaginable amount of hatred and was subjected to severe online harassment, mostly due to racism,” it said in a statement on Twitter on Monday.
