Status report
Position Paper provides an overview of the “emergency” smart working experience launched during epidemics and some ideas on issues and policies that need to be addressed to make the future of the work organization more inclusive. In more detail, issues related to the “emergency” control of active work required by the health crisis, the use of smart working companies and the impact of the tool on female working people are addressed. The regulatory framework inserts the matter of active work into which the impact of emergency orders is outlined. In order to emphasize the challenges posed by the transition to the new “normal” regulation of active work, the Standing Sheet presents a survey of recent regulatory developments in this regard.
The results of the survey on the use of SmartWorking in ICT companies have also been reported, with Anitech-Asinform looking to model it with related companies.
The status sheet highlights two issues that are important during the health crisis and non-trivial issues: cyber security and the inclusion of workers with disabilities.
Document
This document explains some of the considerations in the tool and some of the policy proposals related to investment in technology, training and support for families using SmartWorking.
The experience of mass smart working in the most severe stages of the epidemic turned out to be a very effective large-scale experiment that allows to identify its strengths and weaknesses. Opportunities for management based on trust and more horizontal relationships, reducing corporate offices and better work-life balance. At the same time, if the “normalization” of active work is not adequately managed, it risks raising important issues related to the dynamics of alienation / isolation of workers, marginalization of the weak and the burden of female labor between domestic work. And corporate work.
Policy classifiers
Marco K., Head of Anitec-Assinform commented: “Through the Position Paper Anitec-Assinform, it aims to motivate policymakers on the vulnerabilities and criticisms of the work, and in this paper, we have outlined some guidelines for intervention that can enhance the transition from active work experience experienced during epidemics to work. Active in the future, the “new natural” baptism of already working relationships. Therefore, a three-pronged approach seems to us to be a priority with its aim of stimulating the modernization of organizational mechanisms and equipment, enhancing human capital through employee training, and focusing more on the needs of the work-life balance.”.
Marco K.: “Thanks to SmartWorking, during the difficult months of the Govt-19 epidemic in 2020, many companies and public administrations were able to guarantee the continuation of operations, allowing workers to perform their duties from home. This is a massive mass operation involving 6.5 million workers in 3 months. Today we can use this experience to think about new organizational models: the transformation and innovation of public workplaces, portable information technology devices and technologies / information systems that perform agile work, data management and documentation “.
Thus, Marco Gay, President of Anitec-Assinform, Confindustria Association, a consortium of major ICT companies, has compiled a table on “Agile work: Organization of work and technologies, the nature of which includes some ideas” by “Smart Working”. , Giuseppe Spadaro (DXC) integrated into WG “Business Development Skills” led by Vice President Maria Rita Fiasco.
