Within 48 hours of announcing the tragic death of Eddie Van Hollen, sales of Van Hollen CDs and downloads increased by 3133%. According to Buzz Angle, sales this week in these formats totaled 28,000, up from 866 the previous week. Wow.

But when you throw in the streaming, the total number reaches 62,000, up from 7,000 the week before. That is only a 700% increase.

And those numbers range from 5pm on Tuesday to Thursday night. Van Hollen records have been selling like crazy ever since. So Eddie moved all of his fans.
