Long limited to one true model, the Renault electric range will expand significantly over the next three years. At least 6 models will be available by 2025.
Between 2013 and 2021, there was only one electric Renault on the French automotive landscape: the Zoé. Although sharp memories immediately call to mind the Fluence ZE and the Twizzy, these models remained anecdotal. Like the Twingo ZE, it was converted to Electron for its career. But in the next few years, Losange will really put the turbo on. To be honest, the march forward has started with the Mégane E-Tech and the pace is set to pick up sharply. In the next three years, at least 5 “zero emission” models will appear, covering almost all body types.
The lineup will begin next year with new Kangoo and electric versions of the Traffic. Despite their utility genes, these two allies are also available to individuals and therefore benefit from a 100% electric version..
Full “gas” in 2024!
But most of this rise is expected in 2024. While the Zoe and Twingo – one suspects the latter – will probably leave, the new R5 should pick up Renault’s accessible electric torch. But this electrified superfive, already heavily announced by the eponymous concept of 2021, will create far less surprise than the future R4! To fully drive the rapport between Renault and the French public, Luca Di Meo has booked the revival of the 4L with an electric sauce.. There will even be a van version in production, a kind of relay for modern times. Like the R5, this R4 should be accessible with prices ranging from 20,000 to 25,000 € for these two “revivals”.
At the other end of the chessboard, Renault will launch a successor to the current Scénic in 2024. In this case, the 100% electric SUV will be named… Scénic. Again, don’t expect a big surprise, The lines of this “green” family were released a few weeks ago by Scénic Vision at 90%. On the other hand, nothing is known yet about the capabilities of this 4.50m long SUV.
