13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is the latest release from Vanillaware that has brought us games like Dragons Crown and Odin Spear in the past. They have been releasing other games for a few years, but these are the biggest releases for them, here they have partnered with Atlas to publish. That partnership continues with 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is once again their first completely new game, not a port, in seven years. The game has an interesting history of platforms, including the canceled version of the upcoming game above the PS4 release. Like most games, 13 Sentinels: Many are wondering if the Aegis Rim will come to other platforms like Nintendo Switch or PC and this guide will break it down.

Is it coming to Nintendo Switch or PC?

Vanillaware 13 Sentinels: Aegis has been working on the rim for some time, with which full development on the game began in 2015. At the time, the game was planned to be released on both the PS4 and PlayStation Vita. However, we know how the PlayStation Vita worked and have not been widely supported for some time and that led to the cancellation of that version.

As a result of this cancellation, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is only coming to the PlayStation 4 as of this week’s release. Although it is coming to PS4, we have seen if there is any history showing that it may come to additional platforms at a later date.

Looking at previous releases of Vanillaware, their games are very consistent with their platforms. Although we’ve seen new releases of ports and their old games on new platforms, they have not really jumped on the platforms and have only been upgraded to newer generations.

For example, Dragons Crown was originally released for PS3 and PS Vita before the arrival of PlayStation 4. The next release did not come out until 2018, there was no move to bring Nintendo Switch or even PC, both have great homes for this game. A few times this happened Muramasa: The Demon Blade, which later switched from the Wii to the PlayStation Vita.

For a long time now, it seems that they have been very close with PlayStation‌ when it comes to their releases. As a result, the release of this game on additional platforms does not look great right now. However, Atlas has seen for himself how successful a game like Persona 4 Golden has been on Steam recently, so they can help push it onto other platforms. 13 Sentinels: The Aegis rim fits perfectly on both Nintendo Switch and PC, so this is what we’ll end up seeing in the future.
