Despite the doubts of many, Monolith Soft’s new JRPG Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is apparently doing pretty fine. During the Nintendo Spotlight event today, BigN confirmed that the title is still slated for the end of this year, and even showed both a new trailer and some gameplay footage.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 follows Xenoblade Chronicles X, which was released on Wii U in 2015, and the original Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii in 2012. It sits as a direct sequel to the latter, but unravels the story of Rex, who is searching the world for a paradise called “Elysium”. During his quest, he’ll meet a strange feminine figure called Pyra.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch this Holiday 2017.
