LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 announced on Nintendo Switch

Warner Bros, TT Games, The LEGO Group and Marvel just announced the return of a new wave of super-heroes in the upcoming LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 for Nintendo Switch. For this sequel, the developers team has put a mash-up of Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains from different eras and realities, coated with good ol’ signature LEGO humor.

For now, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Woman, Spider-Man 2099, Black Panther, Gladiator Hulk, Cowboy Captain America, Thor, Captain Marvel, Green Goblin and Dr Strange have been confirmed as playable, but as usual with all LEGO video games, expect to see way more! According to Sean McEvoy (VP Digital Games, The LEGO Group), the game will feature a “huge array of brand new characters from the Marvel Universe, including old favorites in new guises“.

As for the original storyline, players will be transported into a cosmic battle across a myriad of Marvel locations ripped from time and space into the incredible open hub world of Chronopolis. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 also introduces new gameplay possibilities, including the ability for characters to manipulate time and a four-player competitive Super Hero battling mode.

No proper release date has been confirmed for the Switch version yet, just a vague target for “this holiday” (others are expected on Nov 14th). A full-length trailer will be released on May 23rd, in which we’ll hopefully have our answer and definitely more LEGO-style Marvel heroes to discover.
