US: Zelda Twilight Princess manga offered on Free Comic Book Day 2017

Come share your love of comic books on May 6th!

Every year, the first Saturday of May, the entire comic books retailers in North America reunite fans around a special event: the Free Comic Book Day. During this unique day, comic creators gather to give away free books to families and fans, which is the perfect occasion to discover new comics, meet in person your idols, and even preview upcoming comics! This year, Free Comic Book Day is happening on May 6th, and a special manga will be given for free to all of you who go to a comic books store: “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess”, by Akira Himekawa.

Released on March 2017, the manga “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess” depicts the events of the eponym game. The special edition given for FCBD will also feature excerpts from the “The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time” manga. You can already read a preview of those right here, but is you have some free time on May 6th, go in a comic book store in North America and enjoy!

[UPDATE] According to the Store Locator on the FCBD website, comic stores outside North America also celebrate the event. However, we don’t know if the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess manga will be also given for free in other countries.

Once upon a time, wizards tried to conquer the Sacred Realm of Hyrule. The Spirits of Light sealed the wizards’ power within the Shadow Crystal and banished them to the Twilight Realm beyond the Mirror of Twilight. Now, an evil menace is trying to find Midna, Princess of the Twilight Realm, and the fragments of the Shadow Crystal to gain the power to rule over both the Twilight Realm and the World of Light. This FCBD special features excerpts from the manga adaptations of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
