World Sports Competition lands on Wii U VC

Wii Sports for old school gamers

All eyes might now be turned to the Switch, especially since Nintendo confirmed halting the production of Wii U systems back in January, but it doesn’t mean you’ll never get any more games on it. In fact, the Wii U Virtual Console still has several titles coming up in the weeks to come. And among those, World Sports Competition just released in North America and Europe.

World Sports Competition is a sports video game developed by Hudson Soft for the PC-Engine in 1992. It features a mix of several sports games, all to be played like simulation games: archery, rowing, shooting, swimming, and track & field. Here’s some video footage of the game.
