It’s not a secret anymore, the Wii U is in the last round of it’s run. Of course, the console will still get games from third-party editors. But Nintendo will definitely put an end on release in-house games after The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. And to pass on to the next generation, the game receives the same treatment as Twilight Princess: getting released on the old and the new platform from Nintendo.
Therefore, since this announcement, lots of gamers were waiting to understand what are the main differences between the Wii U and the Switch version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. For sure there’s going to be technical improvements on the later. But will the gamers that want to stick to the Wii U get a “decent” taste of the masterpiece?
Thanks to YouTuber Lord Richie, we can now compare the graphics and sound aspects on the final versions of the game. Not the ones that we could see in most of the footages, taken from E3 demos. And we can reassure the Wii U owners, there’s not that many differences! Of course, the game will run more smoothly on Switch, there are some graphics improvements (ex. lens flare), but it seems that the experience will be enjoyable on both consoles.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will release on 3rd march 2017 on Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
