YouTube is currently offering a test that allows users to download videos through a browser on a computer so they can watch them without having to connect to the Internet. This option is already from the mobile app.
YouTube video download is coming to computer
There are several qualities when downloading YouTube videos from PC: 144p, 480p, 720p and 1080p. On the other hand, there is no option to recover a video in 4K, it is a maximum of 1080p. Also note that there is no 360p option.
Downloading is very simple: click the “Download” button between the “Share” and “Save” buttons that appear below the video. Then the process is set up. Obviously, the longer the video, the longer it takes to download. Your internet speed also comes into play.
YouTube refers to it “Downloads are available at least once every 30 days as long as your device has an active internet connection”. Users are encouraged to install the Advanced Web Application (PWA), but this is not a requirement.

According to YouTube, its functionality requires the latest version of Chrome, Edge or Opera browsers.
