Google now offers beta for downloadable Android 12. We will tell you how you can download and install it on your smartphone.

Registered and all supported smartphones

The beta program for Android 12 is open, so anyone with a Pixel smartphone can participate. The following devices are supported:

Registration for the program takes place on a special through the web browser Google website. You must also log in using the correct Google Account installed on the smartphone you wish to participate in the beta program. If you have already participated in the Android beta program, you will need to re-register to get Android 12. The previous participation will not be changed to Android 12.

Download and install the beta version of Android 12

After registering your device for the beta program via the browser, you should receive an initial update for the associated smartphone shortly thereafter. The associated notification shows when a new beta version will be available for download.

Keep in mind that it is best to connect the device to the power station for download and installation so that the battery does not evaporate suddenly during operation. Updates can be several hundred megabytes or even several gigabytes depending on the device, so the best way to download is via WiFi.

As the name implies, the beta version of Android 12 is not the finished version of the new operating system. This means that all functions are not yet available and errors or even malfunctions may occur from time to time. However, it needs to be updated with each new beta release.

Unsubscribe from beta

Of course, you can opt out of the beta program at any time. To do this, go to the same website in the web browser you previously logged in, log in to the user account, select your smartphone and exit. Can I also install a developer beta?

Alternatively, the developer of Android 12 can install the beta. As the name implies, a developer beta is primarily aimed at developers. With their help, programmers working on newer operating system versions for smartphones or applications can launch their own software at an early stage to adapt to the newer version of Android. How can I download and install the preview beta?
