Xiaomi has the iPhone 13 in its view. The Chinese manufacturer has started teasing its future Xiaomi 12 targeting Apple’s flagship smartphone.
The year of the smartphone is not over yet. Xiaomi is actually set to launch a new model Xiaomi 12 on December 28, which is the opposite of current trends: its screen will actually be smaller than its predecessor Mi 11. In this case, it would be 6.28 inches instead of 6.81 inches.
Snapdragon 8 was one of the first smartphones to integrate Gen 1
Xiaomi seeks direct conflict with the iPhone 13, with the manufacturer opposing both smartphones in several teasers. The first shows that the Xiaomi 12 will be 69.9mm wider compared to the 71.5mm for the Apple model. This is, despite the large screen (6.1 inches of the iPhone 13). But the ratio is also different, Xiaomi’s board will be short, but long.

Beyond these meaningless comparisons, it will be very interesting to follow the new smartphone and its pro version. Their AMOLED screen will have a 120 Hz upgrade, pushing the brightness up to 1,600 nits. Inside you will find Snapdragon 8 General 1, Qualcomm’s brand new chip.
The leaked Geekbench benchmark recently revealed 1,224 points in single-core and 3,823 points in multi-core. The results are very close to what Qualcomm specified on its reference device (1.235 / 3.837), and better than the results of the Snapdragon 888 modifying the Snapdragon 8 General 1 (1.100 / 3.500).
