Beware of Green Boss scam on WhatsApp. The Green Passage, set up a few weeks ago, warns postal police citizens about corruption via WhatsApp, which is back in effect after the Tracy government introduced the mandatory certification to access multiple services starting Friday, August 6th. This scam is designed to keep personal data and bank details. Here’s how to detect fraud.

The text of the message on WhatsApp reads: “At this link you can download the green certificate of Green Pass Covit-19, which allows you to move freely throughout Italy without a mask”. Once (unfortunately) the link is clicked, the user will access a fake company page where there are fake icons similar to the originals. The page asks you to enter your personal and bank details, which are then used for fraudulent purposes. In addition to the WhatsApp channel, other scams are spreading via email, already on sale – on the dark web – counterfeit green passes, at a cost of about a hundred euros.

It is recommended to download the certificate only in one of the official methods announced by the government (You can find it here All the necessary information), of course not on WhatsApp. We remind you that the text of the SMS with the certificate reads: “****’s Green Covid-19 Certificate Available. Use AUTHCODE ************ and Health Card at www.dgc.gov Wait for notification in Application IO Any suspicious news should be reported to the Postal Police Portal at: www.commissariatodips.it.
