In a few weeks, Messenger will no longer work on some smartphones. The list of devices involved is already circulating.
Mountain View – WhatsApp has announced that its functionality will not be fully functional on some smartphone models soon. Messenger makers pause at intervals to further improve service for older operating systems.
First, they fear the lack of security updates for older software. Second, there is no need to test new functions in advance on unmanageable operating system versions.
From November 1, 2021, only smartphones running Android 4.1, iOS 10 and KaiOS 2.5.1 will be able to install and use WhatsApp. American Business Magazine Entrepreneur Reported on projects at an early stage and provided a list of affected models online:

WhatsApp Chat Backup: How It Works
According to the report, WhatsApp recommends replacing them with newer smartphone models so that you do not have to close an account.
