What’s new and how to download

One more week, we are with you to know all the news about Windows 11 on Dev channel immediately. This time we go from Build 22499 to 22504. We are already warning that the build will end next week as it is Thanksgiving Day in the United States.

Modifications and improvements to the built-in 22504

• To further personalize our Windows text input experience, they have extended 13 themes for the touch keyboard, which now apply to our other typing experiences, including IMEs, emoji panel and voice typing. It is available for all themed experiences. Theme engine that allows us to create a fully customized theme that includes background images. All these can be found in the new section “Text input” In Settings> Customization. It’s not yet available to all insiders because they want to track comments and see how it works before sending it to everyone.

• They have added the ability to customize emoji combinations to suit the color of the face and skin of family members, couples with hearts, kisses and people holding hands. Open the Emoji panel (WIN +.) And try these combinations by typing in the search field: family, couple, holding hands or kissing. It’s not yet available to all insiders because they want to keep track of comments and see how it works before sending it to everyone.

• You can now use the WIN + Alt + K keyboard shortcut to change the new Disable icon when displayed on the taskbar.
• Based on the ideas, they make the search for Portuguese and Polish emojis a bit more flexible with keywords containing diacritics.
• Available now .NET Framework 4.8.1, the latest .NET framework that provides native ARM64 support for .NET Framework runtime.
• Now, Settings> System> Sound in Windows 11 will display a warning when microphone access to your privacy settings is blocked and the notification to notify us is removed.
• Added support for Fiji Republican DST repeal by 2021.
• In future installations, the Touch Indicator option will be disabled by default in Settings> Accessibility> Mouse Pointer and Touch. As part of this change, these settings have added a link to the page from Settings> Bluetooth and Devices> Touch, making sure that the capture image is now always displayed regardless of configuration status.
• Applications will now be zoomed in by default on tablet devices (screens that are 11 inches diagonal and smaller).

Get started

• Fixed an issue that was sometimes considered the root cause of icons not being displayed correctly in the recommended section of the startup (showing the wrong or common icon).
• If you open Start and immediately press Shift + F10 or the context menu key, the context menu should now align with the search field.

Taskbar

• Fixed an issue that caused Explorer.exe to crash in the latest versions when there was a problem loading the battery icon in the taskbar.
• Made some changes to help update the taskbar clock more reliably, including fixing a recent issue that has not been updated on the remote desktop.
• The positioning of the date and time clip at the bottom of the taskbar alleviated the issue.
• Updates for critical and low battery notification definitions will now align with the battery icon in the taskbar instead of using the default to display alerts.
• By right-clicking on the date and time in the taskbar, it will disappear if the Action Center is open, so you can see the right-click menu options.

Gateway

• Keyboard lights (eg for caps lock) should work well again in this version.
• Made some more changes to the emoji search keywords based on ideas including day, night and eyebrow raising. Continue to share your thoughts on this in the Input & Language> Emoji panel in the Comment Center.
• Fixed an issue with making the Kamoji list in WIN +. Empty when accessing when using Chinese IME.
• Fixed an issue with emoji panel search results that would cause a gif to reappear with specific queries.
• Specified an issue that prevented IMOs from working with certain games.
• To change the settings, Settings> Customization> Writing issue fixed “Show text suggestions and add space bar after selecting text suggestions” The touch keyboard may not show up unexpectedly.
• By taking longer breaks when using voice input (WIN + H), you can now safely continue listening.
• Fixed some discrepancies between the actual listening level and the microphone display when entering the voice.
• If the control is moved while using voice input, the text should not be copied unexpectedly.

Windows

• Choosing the right layout options, we should not roughly place windows on our secondary monitor at times.

Settings

• The brightness and volume sliders in Quick Settings should no longer become approximately invisible.
• Fixed an issue that prevented manual setting of active times.
• Fixed an issue that could have eliminated the Touch keyboard password entry field when connecting to the network in Quick Settings.

Others

• Fixed a scaling issue that caused the update request dialog (and other similar dialogs) to be disconnected and displayed incorrectly after changing the DPI.
• Improved the positioning of the context menu when right-clicking on the bottom corner of the desktop.
• Specifies a problem with TCPIP, which may cause error verification when operating the device.
• Fixed an issue where high priority notifications (such as alarms) were sometimes unexpectedly discarded without us taking action, so they would reappear randomly the next time the default priority notification came.

Known bugs

General

• Users who upgrade to a newer version from 22000.xxx or earlier using the latest ISO in the Development Channel may receive the following warning: The version you are trying to install is signed. To proceed with the installation, run Signature. If you receive this message, press the Activate button, restart the system, and try updating again.
• They are exploring the issue of preventing some computers from installing newer versions or other updates. PC may report an error code of 0x80070002. If you encounter this problem, restart your computer and try again.
• Some devices may check for errors with the error code 0xc1900101-0x4001c when installing this version. If this happens, after the device returns to the previous version, you can pause until the updates find a solution.

Get started

• In some cases, the text could not be entered when starting the search in the taskbar. If this happens to you, press WIN + R to open the Run dialog box and then close it.

Taskbar

• The taskbar sometimes flashes when switching between different input methods.

Windows

• Hovering over different desktops in the task view will result in an unexpected reduction in the thumbnails and content area displayed.

Research

• After clicking the search icon in the taskbar, the search panel may not open. If this happens, restart the process “Windows Explorer” And reopen the search panel.
