Coffee Stein Publishing, Deep Rock Galactic and the team behind the Goat Simulator, and Iron Gate Studio are delighted to announce that the challenging collaborative adventure Walheim will launch early access to Steam on February 2nd. Walheim is an open world exploration survival game set in a large practically created refinery inspired by Norse mythology and Viking culture. Soldiers are tasked with recapturing the empire from Odin’s old enemies, building meat halls and castles, building weapons and armor, and sailing across the seas in search of new frontiers.

Walheim invites the player to explore a large, pragmatically created world, lush forests, snow-capped mountains and magical meadows, all presented with interesting low-fi graphics. Walheim offers a variety of weapons, a form of warfare based on deception and deterrence, with which he fights against ancient bosses from immortal Viking myths and legends. The Viking adventure can be played alone or with nine friends because no one wants to face death again and again. Between Deaths, Walheim offers a flexible home and basic building system, intuitive item craft and shipbuilding and dedicated servers.

“Walheim is very tough. You will often die. Your friends will often die. But we believe we have struck the right balance between unnecessary brutality and rewarding and challenging experience, ”said Richard Svensson, CEO of Iron Gate Studios. “The world we have created is huge and diverse, and there are still a lot of places. We look forward to welcoming new players to our community and working with them during early access.”

“During the beta phase, Walheim had already begun to build a loyal and determined community, which is very important to us as a publisher,” says Albert Saffrom, CEO of Coffee Stain Publishing. “Exploring Walheim’s world feels like being outside rather than in a virtual world. When many of us are stuck inside and almost meet others, it is like a breath of fresh air, which we need now. “

Walheim will open on February 2nd Early access to steam Now available on the wishlist for PC and Linux.
