Nintendo has released the latest firmware update for the Nintendo Switch. All console owners can get their hands on version 14.1.0.
Since this is a minor update, the patch notes will be much smaller. Nintendo only says: “General system consistency improvements to improve the user experience”.
The 14.1.1 update for Switch continues from the 14.1.0 update available earlier this month. This includes the new “Platinum Dots Notification System”, which allows users to report unsolicited points under the My Nintendo Rewards program. The last major firmware update for Switch was version 14.0.0 in March. It added groups, in response to Nintendo’s requests for recalls. This feature allows you to store and organize software in a specific area of the Nintendo Switch home menu.
As of version 14.1.1 of the Switch update, it will be distributed to all system owners. You can now download the patch manually. Go to System Settings and scroll down to the “System” tab, then select “System Update” to begin the process.
